Why Rate My TA?

It started with a simple question: "Who's teaching this class?"

As students, we've all been there. You're registering for classes, excited about a course, but then you realize - the professor isn't teaching it. A TA is. And suddenly, you have no idea what you're signing up for.

Teaching assistants play a crucial role in our education. They lead discussions, grade assignments, hold office hours, and often determine whether we actually understand the material or just memorize it for the exam.

So we built it.

Rate My TA started originally at the University of Florida, created by students who saw a real need in their own academic community. What began as a simple solution for UF students has grown into something much bigger.

This platform was created by students, for students. We believe that transparency makes education better. When you can read honest reviews from your peers, you make better decisions about your classes. When TAs receive constructive feedback, they can improve their teaching.

We plan to expand this site beyond just rating TAs, building additional features and tools that help students navigate their academic journey and make the most of their college experience.
